What is the minimum tank size recommended for betta fish?

betta fish aquarium sizeThe minimum betta fish tank size is at least 2.5 gallons.  Betta tanks are available through traditional pet stores that are far too small to house a betta. Betta fish should NOT be kept in jars, bowls, cups, or small aquariums, regardless of whether or not they can survive. You could keep a dog alive in a tiny crate for its whole life, but that doesn’t make it right.

  1. No no no. The true minimum tank size for a betta is 5 gallons! 2.5 gallons is not big enough for a betta to get enough exercise!

  3. As pointed out ahead of each these varieties of blinds are extremely quick to clean as well.
Tiny ones space should be as straightforward as possible but it has got to accommodate the kids requires.
A perfect space makeover is impossible once the old furnishings go untouched.

  13. We have a betta who is actually doing better in a smaller tank. We tried keeping him in a 1 gallon bowl, which compared to him was huge (he's a small one), but he became skittish and began to loose his tail fin. But when we put him in a smaller tank, he grew more brave, and has since begun to grow his tail back.
